I see Alberta's UCP government has launched a full-fledged disinformation campaign to promote its scorched earth policy of surface mining our Rocky Mtn East Slopes watersheds to oblivion.

We might focus on a few things about this campaign.

1. Our own money's being used against us, to profit international mining corporations & Asian steel mills. The UCP argument implies that destroying our water supply is good for us. Never forget: we need that water to live here.

2. We weren't asked. AB's UCP government secretly consulted only coal industry lobbyists acting for foreign coal corporations. Why? Because coal mining is not intended to benefit us. It's for others. We can be sure that if the UCP thought we'd benefit, we'd have been asked.

3. The UCP government has previously wasted 10s of $millions to blatantly lie to us about the oil & gas industry & environmental campaigns, using its laughable War Room & thoroughly discredited Steve Allan Witch Hunt. Why would we think that they'd stop now?

There's nothing we can learn from the UCP's latest attempt to con Albertans out of their heritage, other than that *they* never learn. Scorn & satire is all they deserve.

Let's ask if we want AB to be the new W Virginia or Kentucky. Or Elk Valley.
