It’s worth stating what’s well understood because the WHO’s edited description of herd immunity recently deleted reference to naturally acquired immunity. Modelling papers simply leave it out, leading to the completely wrong conclusion that everyone needs vaccinating to reach HI.

Yet again this shows what we all know: not so much garbage in, garbage out, but “slyly leaving out vital parameters or adopting unreasonable starting values can yield whatever you wanted”.
