2/ Morrison hadn't followed league but he learnt about it. He became the Sharkies number 1 ticket holder, wore his scarf, waved it, & drank beers.
This character, eventually named ScoMo, was used to gain a following & send political messages.

3/ Recently, @CricketAus were naughty. They made a decision, after consulting with Indigenous leaders, to promote inclusion. #ScottyFromMarketing was not happy.
How dare a sports body interfere in political matters, he argued.

4/ Thankfully @CricketAus held firm on their decision.
A number of noted sports people have, to their great credit, have articulately outlined their arguments about why the decision is important. @danchristian54, a Wiradjuri man, is one such example.
7/ In his comments, we've seen an Australian PM dog whistling.
It is truly horrible but very encouraging that it's now some of Australia's finest sportspeople who are leading the way. #AustraliaDay #auspol #Reconcilation #InvasionDay #inclusion
