Overall Hubbard started 2020 as one of the top backs in the class. He has been faded by many as his performances this season are not up to his 2019 level. I believe a lot of this is due to the off field issues with his coach.
Hubbard has all the skills to be a three down back in the NFL he needs to be refined some and may need a year of seasoning, But he can end up being a steal in this years draft! If a zone running scheme team drafts him he should shoot up your rankings, this would be a perfect fit
Here is some film to enjoy!
Here is one receiving play that is solid, not a great catch as he uses his body, but then makes a nice move in space and busts it to the house!
This is a great chop block here, he has to get the defender to the ground in order for the out to work and he does just that!
Here we see his patience to flow with the line and find a hole opening, makes the right cut as linebacker over commit and then good vision in second level and then shows his track speed!
Here’s another house call, here it was all speed, line opens huge hole and he doesn’t look back, his speed is unreal!
Again he show patience and waits for a hole to open and then hits it, bounces off defenders and then uses his strong legs to power into the end zone!
Just another nice read and cut to get free into the secondary, and scores again!
Just a causal 93 yard burst to the house, but he shows subtle movements to lure in defenders and then makes a nice change of direction and once his in the open field your mot catching him!
Another long house call, some nice movement through the line and second level and then it’s the burners and he gone!
Hopefully this helps you in your draft process this offseason, to see what Chuba Hubbard is all about!
