It’s been a long day and some very difficult decisions made. I’d hoped I wouldn’t have to go through it again. But all the evidence showed we had to act decisively before things got out of hand. What we’ve done helps our public health team and @DrNicolaBrink big time. 1/2
Over the last year we invested in the equipment but, more importantly, the people, that means we have a high class testing facility the envy of others. @Gsy_Bell and others are on it. Trust the science. Trust us to listen to the science . 1.5/2
Unlike last time we can test, test, test and get results PDQ. The guys will be out there doing just that so we can see what’s going on. At the same time we’ve got the perfect community vaccination centre and can tackle things from that end. WE’RE ON IT
