@ComicDaveSmith Love you, but I think its time you have a discussion with a few of the Mises friendly open borders folks.

I think your position on not supporting open borders in this political context misses some key things

1) We need to speak principle loudly & clearly regardless of context or popularity. Thats how we win converts.

2) Your position takes for granted that most immigrants will always vote Democrat, without considering open borders libertarianism has several things to offer them

3) Any kind of border enforcement entails paying & pensioning 10s of thousands of armed federal agents accustomed to violating human rights & they are used to suppress unrest(Bodertac)

4) In addition to the agents they get equipment that is used to surveil domestic unrest

5) Customs & Border enforcement has been leveraged through courts to justify the creation a 100 mile 4th amendment free zone that 2/3rds of Americans live in. It will be used further expand abuses of rights
