Thinking about the traditional role of eunuchs in a late empire, and how it's being filled by fggtx and tranners in the American empire.

A eunuch's value is in the fact that he has no genetic legacy of his own to invest in, and thus can only identify with/invest in the political entity he belongs to.

This is symbolically alluded to by the traditional use of eunuchs as harem guards.

In the modern system, nothing says "I am loyal to my masters and have no conflicting loyalties" like tranning out. You are now completely dependent on the system, both biochemically and psychologically, and can be trusted to perform the dirtiest jobs without internal conflict.

While even the scum of the SS and NKVD occasionally showed moments of humanity (mostly manifested in drinking themselves into a stupor when off work,) a tranner concentration camp guard would be so high on drugs and self loathing that mass murder wouldn't even register.
