Most landing pages fail to convert a viewer into a paying customer because they are confusing. Here are three mistakes most landing pages make that cause confusion about your product. Are you making any of these mistakes? 👇
Mistake #1: Your landing page does not communicate the problem your product solves. A viewer is coming to your site to see if you can solve their problem, so if you are not describing the problem you solve the viewer is not able to associate your product to solving their problem.
Mistake #2: Your landing page has no prominent call to action. Don’t leave a potential customer hanging on what you want them to do. Do you offer a free trial? Or do you offer a free newsletter? Or do you want them to schedule a demo? Then, make that call to action prominent.
Mistake #3: Worrying about colors, design, logos instead of copy. The colors on the site won’t sell a single product, but the words sure will. Don’t obsess over colors or design and instead make sure your copy is clear and invites your product into the customer’s journey.
The #1 goal of your landing page is to convert the viewer into the next step in their journey with your product... whether that is getting on your email list to learn more or making a commitment to buy your product. So make sure your landing page is on point!
