This thread is about understanding right-wing faux anger.

We all know that the right has become more angry & intolerant over the last several decades, under the tutelage of Fox News & a host of angry white men on the radio, in the news, in politics.

But why?

#ANGER
#politics
Is the right just "mad as hell & they're not going to take it anymore"? Or is there a more sinister thing going on here? On the left, those who pursue politics study law, policy making, etc., those on the right tend to study psychology & then utilize that to gain power.
#Anger is a powerful emotion.
"Where fear breeds uncertainty, anger instills confidence. Angry people are more likely to put the blame on individuals, rather than “society,” or fate. ... Angry people rely more on stereotypes & are more eager to act..." https://www.theatlantic.com/science/archive/2016/09/the-best-headspace-for-making-decisions/500423/
"...the techniques are very similar on the left & the right. ... But the volume is very different, in terms of the sheer number of platforms on the right. Talk radio is over 90 percent conservative so there’s just more of it." https://psmag.com/social-justice/tvs-talking-heads-angry-time-rush-limbaugh-glenn-beck-75212
