This may turn into a thread... Bare with me. Waited a while to give my opinion to take stock of that performance and some of the reaction. I'll start from the back and work my way forward

Defence - Conceeding really poor goals, basic mistakes that even at the levels I've played at you would get called out for. Ehmer - Captain? No chance, I want my captain leading properly. Seen one post match interview from him. Lead from the front and take it on the chin....
Midfield - where do I start? Grant that's where... Supposed to be a CDM? You play there you have to tackle, dominate and be able to pass further than 5 yards. I'm sorry he just stills through games. Westbrooke - Disappointed, to weak doesn't create enough. Set pieces good tho...
Mccormick - impressed with him, puts himself about and has some flair. We miss Oztumers creativeness when he isn't in the team, Real shame it appears Barrett can't get fit, think there is a player in there. Like the way he trys different things. Upson, Agogo, Rodman mehhh....
Attack - Nicholson clearly a different class been superb. Hanlan is raw but will only get better and unfair that he has to lead the line all on his own. Others are unproven...Recent performances and team selection - Biggest concern for me. We have 7 full backs at the club....
But we still end up with a CB playing RWB??? 
First and foremost you play square pegs in square holes. Simple as that... Makes your team solid and everyone knows their job. I would rather see a young kid play in that position, look at what a full team of kids playing...

... for villa did against Liverpool, didn't disgrace them selves. Knew their job and stayed solid. It really isn't rocket science. Tisdale - First of all it isn't his fault that the squad is so unbalanced... However... When losing a game to bring McCormick off and leave a CB...
...in midfield is at best odd. I'm not really sure where we go from here in all honestly. At best we need to get lucky and pull a rabbit out of the hat much like we did with JCH. Any of you who think we are getting a proven goalscorer maybe in for a shock . Difficult enough...

....for a club like ours, in January made even harder. If one becomes available there is always a bigger club like Charlton for example 
to go to. I think we are in a relegation battle and they probably need us more than ever, shame we can't be their in person....

Fingers crossed we turn a corner. I Nicholson and Oztumer are key to that I think. Any team would miss them. UTG
