Sometime back, My Friend, Aman broke up with his girlfriend of 7 yrs

They were madly in love with each other & were planning to get married soon

Their relationship was based on blind trust

A THREAD on Blind trust in human relations
One sad day. Aman’s father was admitted to hospital for a cardiac surgery

Aman needed money urgently

He asked for his girl fpr the money which he had lent her, two years back for her education - around 4 lakhs
But the girl brazenly cut corners on being asked to return the money and did not hand out even a single rupee, even though her soon to be father-in-law was in the hospital
Thankfully, we arranged the money among some friends and his father's surgery was successful

Soon after his father returned back home

Aman firmly asked his girlfriend to return the money
But this time

She blatantly denied “We’re going to be married soon, Isn’t your money, mine, Anyways?”, She exclaimed
Despite several altercations

Firm warnings and very clear insistence on Aman’s part that she should return his money

She did not
Rather, she chose to play the victim card and accused Aman of harassing her for a small sum of money

So small a sum that she was fine fighting for it instead of repaying it
Things soured despite their 7 years of trust and bonding

And the soon to be marrying lovers

Parted ways
Although, The Girl still hasn’t returned the “small sum of money”
There's a popular saying:

The best way to lose a friend is to borrow or lend money

But I don’t believe it’s pragmatic and that’s why we lent money tp Aman for his father’s surgery.

And he returned it without anyone having to ask for it
You know why?

Because friends are far more important than money
But should you risk your financial life for your friends or lovers whom you blindly trust and know for years ?

My experience from people, says - NEVER

Lend only as much as you can afford to lose
Don’t lend money you can’t afford to lose

What If the girl had taken 40 lakhs and not 4 Lakhs from aman?
When you wish to help somebody with money

Just don’t help so much that you become helpless if they change their colors like that girl
Human beings can change their colors faster than a chameleon

Blind trust in anyone is Harakiri
