This is told by a group of people from San Francisco who lived through the worst days of the AIDS crisis.
There are some really poignant moments.

This one is a compilation of tales about people who were included in the AIDS memorial quilt. This covers people from various different walks of life.
This is a documentary filmed by a couple who were both positive. Really beautiful couple.
One of them does die in the film and it is on video so just a trigger warning for this one as well.

The story of Gia Marie Carangi - model who had the world at her feet until she fell into drugs.
Played beautifully by Angelina Jolie. There is footage of the real Gia on YouTube.
The modelling industry didn't even know she died until some time after it happened. So sad.

This is a beautiful film that follows a group of friends (including a young Dermot Mulroney) as they tackle living with AIDS in their community.
Based on the true story of young Ryan White who caught AIDS from tainted plasma used to treat his haemophilia.
He was banned from going to school which created a legal battle.
Also see the Ray Brothers who all got AIDS through plasma. One is still alive.

This one is apparently about the ACT UP movement in France so would definitely be worth a watch. I plan on seeing it when I get paid.
Potentially a controversial one bit I still think it's important.
This is about a group of teenagers who have a lot of unprotected sex but HIV is introduced to their group. Stars a young Chloe Sevigny.

"Horizon- Killer in the Village, a BBC documentary about AIDS from the early 80s before the discovery of the HIV virus. It's fascinating and worth a watch.
