A movie based on a true story about a young Australian couple who first got together when homosexuality was still illegal and continued to have an on-off relationships for many years.

This is a beautiful film that follows a group of friends (including a young Dermot Mulroney) as they tackle living with AIDS in their community.
A film in a very similar being to 'Longtime Companion' but with the activism included as well.
Based on the true story of young Ryan White who caught AIDS from tainted plasma used to treat his haemophilia.
He was banned from going to school which created a legal battle.
Also see the Ray Brothers who all got AIDS through plasma. One is still alive.

Another one that I haven't seen though I have seen bits of it and I know it's well thought of.
This one is apparently about the ACT UP movement in France so would definitely be worth a watch. I plan on seeing it when I get paid.
Another outside recommendation. Haven't heard of this but it sounds interesting.

This appears to be a German and Luxembourgian film. Again, haven't seen but it looks interesting.
Another recommendation. I will definitely look out for this one.
