I once sat at a meeting with the DG of @NOA_Nigeria and listened to him champion #Ruga . Finished the meeting , got up , thanked him for the time and walked away . Got back to the office and told my boss then that there was no way we were going to have anything to do with them
One thing that we should all know is that Nigeria has never been this divided until the advent of @MBuhari . @MBuhari doesn’t care about National cohesion of any sort. All he cares about is himself and his holding onto power till 2023 . He doesn’t care if Nigeria burns
Like someone tweeted earlier in the day , if an Igbo man travels to another land to set up a business and he needs a land for it , he pays for it and becomes the owner before setting up his business but it is not so for these marauding northerners masquerading as herdsmen .
They think they can take everything by force because their brother @MBuhari is in power . They get backing from the villa and then launch attacks. Sadly the people who bear the brunt of hatred which they are spreading are the innocent northerners that we have lived with for years
We have had northern presidents in the past and we never had such hate for the north . We were all at peace . We lived like one nation . Everything changed the minute @MBuhari ascended the exalted throne as president . Nigeria immediately divided along ethnic lines
I try my best not find myself in any form of discussion that racially profiles any tribe or ethnic region because I have met and had interactions with them and they are wonderful people . If there is any need for hate of any sort we should channel it to the individuals causing it
This is one of the reasons why I do not engage any tweet that says “boycott fulani beef” . Fulanis are not the problem. There are elements of fulani origin that are the problems and we know them by name . If we must hate any , it is those elements who seek to cause hate
Back in the days, the Hausas accepted being called “Hausa Fulani” . Today that have come to realize that certain elements of fulani extraction are causing them more harm than good and they have rejected that profiling .
Do you still hear news of fulani attacks on settlements in Benue or its banks ? No! The people stood up and repelled them and took back their lands . Every state has a right to protect itself from these marauders who are bringing a bad name to innocent fulani herdsmen
Sometime ago in Enugu state , the Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Association in the state came on TV and stated it clearly that the people attacking Wnugu indigenes aren’t their people but members of a rogue organization disguising as Miyetti Allah and promised to hand them over
True to his words , he helped capture some and handed them over to Govt and indeed it turned out to be that they were mere criminals who had entered the country via the Niger border through Katsina during the elections build up. They were not herders . But they were Fulanis
This same thing has been duplicated across the SW states , largely because the SW states accepts them as their own because of political party affiliation and all these Emir/Sariki titles that are ratified by APC led governors . Put an end to it and see them fizzle out quietly
The problem of the SW with these marauders is simply because of the political correctness the SW believes will help them get their dream of a presidency in 2023 . If they for once decide to focus on their people and forget the presidency chase , they will be better off
Bola Tinubu keeps feeding them with tales of how they need to form a coalition with the north to get their aim and afterwards they’d dissolve it but it is not going to pan out well for them because these people are interested in conquering the SW and not having them as allies
Too many calls distracting my thoughts so I will end it thus ;we can liberate our various states including those in the north from the shackles of these marauders without racially profiling any Nigerian. I still believe in ONE Nigeria without @MBuhari and we should all learn that
