1) On Nov. 16, Graham called GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and tried to convince him to illegally throw out all absentee ballots. …
2) Raffensperger was so upset by Graham's arm-twisting, that when Trump called later in an attempt to threaten him into "finding" enough votes to defeat Biden, Raffensperger recorded the call. …
3) Still, that recording would have remained secret, had Trump not kept badmouthing Raffensperger, which so upset a member of his staff, that they released the recording …
4) That recording hit the news just as Trump was preparing to execute a scheme in which he would replace acting AG Jeffrey Rosen with QAnon believing attorney Jeffrey Clark …
5) Clark's plan involved sending false claims to GA legislature that he was investigating "serious" election fraud in that state, to seed calls for a do-over. …
6) Clark was also planning to file suit in an effort to delay Congress from conducting the official count of the Electoral College vote on January 6. …
7) But then the Raffensperger recording came out, just as Trump was about to pull the trigger. It caused so much furor that White House attorney Pat Cippollone was able to talk Trump down from carrying out the Clark Plan. …
8) Otherwise Jan. 6 might have seen Trump and the DOJ moving quickly to support insurgents. That didn't happen, because Lindsey Graham is a feckless toady and Donald Trump can't stop trash talking to save his life.
