"Appease the influential trans lobby"

The use of these words is careful and intentional. It's meant to incite fear and hate, and make an authoritative monolith of a group of people who make up <1% of the population.

It's the exact same tactic we saw pitted against gay people in the 90's, Muslim people in the 00's onwards, and people of colour and travellers in general.

The message is clear "destroy these people before they destroy you".

It will be disguised as protecting children, protecting women, feminism, pride in your country etc. It will be dressed up in something appealing.

I don't know how many times we have to say this but

If you are threatened by affording equitable rights and dignity to a minority, then you are either being made a fool of, or you're profiting from their marginalisation.
