Leicester assets without Vardy #FPL (a thread)

League games are more important than cup game stats

I won't include stats when Vardy was off the pitch after being subbed OFF, as he only seems to get subbed off when Leicester are winning

Vardy has not started in 3 premier league games this season. In these games, he missed a total of 216 mins. Leicester failed to score a single goal during this time

Last season, Vardy didn't start 4 premier league games. He went off injured early in 1 game, so I will include that, considering he spent the majority of the game off the pitch

In them 5 games, he missed a total of 376 mins. Leicester scored 7 goals during this period

I won't include any other data other than the last 2 seasons, as the Leicester squad as changed a lot etc...

In the premier league (over the time notes above), without Vardy, Leicester averaged a goal every 84.6 mins

With Vardy, they averaged a goal every 47.8 mins

Therefore, it's fair to say Leicester struggle attacking wise without him.

I still like their attacking assets however, especially for Leeds (H) and Fulham (a) in GWs 21 & 22

Both of those teams are in the top 6 for big chances conceded in the last 4.

In the cup, I will only include stats for this season, unlike the KdB thread, as it is more representative of Leicester's current situation & form etc.

Also the sample size wouldn't increase much as Leicester weren't competing in the Europa League last season.

Also unlike the KDB thread, I will include some underlying stats for each player this season...

Unfortunately it would be impossible to get these types of stats for games in which Vardy didn't feature.

This should give you a greater insight into each player

I would expect only one of Perez/Iheanacho to play up top in place of Vardy - use the Everton game to find that out. All the others are nailed.

Finally, short term, I'd be tempted by Perez/Iheanacho as think they can score big in Leeds/Fulham games.

Long term, it's a toss up between Barnes/Maddison.
