Late on this, but think Georgiou is part of a wider problem at Spurs. That we've finally moved him on a month ahead of his 24th birthday shows that something has gone wrong. He leaves with fewer than 500 minutes in senior football to his name. https://twitter.com/SpursOfficial/status/1352294909978562560
With no disrespect meant to Georgiou who is a whole-hearted, tenacious & not untalented player, it's been clear for at least 3 years, probably 5 if we're honest that he wasn't going to trouble the first team. Surely we owe it to these players to let them start careers?
By 'let' I mean 'encourage'. We *definitely* need to loan them earlier, we probably need to sell them earlier. We still have Carter-Vickers (23), Marsh (22), Tracey (22), Sterling (22) on our books.
It makes me question the advice they're getting too. Leave. Go & play football.
