Park jimin’s golden, insane and unmatched vocal in crystal snow . A thread 🔥
Before we start let’s acknowledge the fact that jimin’s vocal is one of the best auditory element in BTS , his individuality flaunts and leave impacts the moment he starts his verse ,without his input the song would have never sounded how it sounds now, and he is one of those few
Artist who never gets tierd of performing ,no matter how many songs he will perform before or after jimin will still sound so fresh and affianced to whole theme of the song ,this is what makes him stand out because his engaging capability in any situation is insane and perfect
And this is what makes him different from others ,no matter how many live performance you will watch for jimin he holds that plighted emotion towards the entire performances, thats any many professionals are always pointing out these facts even if they watch him for the first time
The wayy jimin basically starts the song with an amazing falsetto approach and then jimin goes for his mix voice which is dynamically pleasing, the vocal approaches he has is more amazing than a heart get pleases and his vocal color compliments the uplifting tempo of the song
which is bright and forward, jimin is basically one of those few singers whose vocal pitch stands up the most no matter how many singers singing next to him or in between him, his vocal will always stand out within the first few seconds
and this is one of the particular characteristics a great singer have, and that's the reason if you listen to even the first word of jimin singing you will know right away who is it and jimin happens to have this aspect to his voice.
When jimin approaches towards a vowel its always the bright and clearest vocal tone without any undertone towrads it and that's why it stands out more. To be able to understand what vowel is , its basically the bond between air flow and resonance . Air flow is basically the speed
Of the air moving over the vocal chords making then to phonate and the resonance is like a room where the phonation flows in order to form the sound that you hear , so sometime certain vowels sounds really louder it’s because the resonating space in the mouth is changing
One of the techniques jimin uses here he basically dropping off the vocal weight as he is going up for the higher notes and which is not pulling up his full chest voice up into the range and even though the live version were like them back to back singing many songs but still
jimin sounds so firm and yet fresh. This is best quality of jimin he puts all his strength might and love towards any performances no matter how many songs he performed before that he will never have any difficulty hitting those notes and its still uplifting and forward,
the brighter bowel approaches always a good choice because its more lighter and clear which does not need to much vocal weight for it to be performed, Also the technically praiseworthy part is because many times the songs are made in a way where an individual singer have to hit
those notes on pure vowel without any modification, so nailing that wide vowel with a pure tone and full out sound is actually so hard and jimin nailing it, either its e" or o" vowel pull out right on that highnote is mindblowing, he is perfectly balancing the wide vowels
because balancing this is the most tricky part because both the dark & narrow vowels and the brighter wide vowels tends to cross each other with just a slighter difference and being able to execute that in a balance way without sounding harsh is a whole trick,
there are a lot of things that goes behind singing and the tiniest detail sometime not talked about, but the whole process of this is amazing and that's what makes the difference and make a particular singer always putting up the uniqueness of his vocal quality and weight posses
Another praiseworthy part is when jimin is going for the higher range and hitting that high note precisely his microphone position is on point , if somebody aiming for a high note but leaning the body or lower larynx or just jutting forward in general that means he or she is
pressing the chords foward which wont have enough room to let the air flow reaches and vibrate the chords in a fair amount . when we are singing we try to keep proper posture and keep away from moving towards the microphone rather we bring it towards us because that helps
to keep the alignment of the larynx so that you are not throwing of the alignment of the throat & extending the muscles around the larynx which tightens them and makes it hard to sing , so keeping head a little bit more back or slightly straight which is suitable for the amount
of vibration you need to be able to hit a certain note & that’s what jimin is doing hitting that incredible high note at the last part, and the the last super high beautiful falsetto ,the entire live performance is so mindblowing , jimin is also agile pitch wise at the same time
Jimin was evolving musically and his growth was insane since the beginning , it’s always a privilege to be talk about his vocal ,these previous performance were golden and jimin nailed every bit of it ,his is so great of vocalist that running out of praises
