Amazes me how much support there is for this government still, people quick to say how tough this would be for anyone in charge

That argument might have washed at first, but how can it after so many repeated and deadly errors?

How many deaths does it take for you to get angry?
Others are directing their anger at the public - don’t get me wrong there are a fair few people I get angry with but this isn’t the main problem

Most people are complying with the rules - the problem is the rules themselves and who is setting them
We have a more deadly, much more infectious variant of the disease ripping through the country and yet this government feels a less substantial lockdown is required than in the spring?
Many people have no choice but to still go to work, risk spreading the disease, getting ill and putting even more pressure on our hospitals and NHS staff who simply can’t cope with any more
The government told us about the new variant before Christmas, they told us it was up to 70% more infectious than the original variant, but still they told the country to forget the rules for a day and effectively spread it at will - basically to save face on their promises
And let’s not forget the £23 billion failure that is test and trace, where the lack of support in place means only 17% of people with symptoms are coming forward for tests because they simply can’t afford to isolate, how has this not yet been addressed?
I think most people are reasonable and could understand some mistakes in the early part of this crisis - but how many times can we accept seeing these errors repeated, these problems not addressed and this catastrophe exacerbated by those in charge? Something needs to change
