Subhas Chandra Bose's most incredible journey: A story I came upon a few years ago, when nobody in India was aware of it.
Sharing for the birth anniversary of #Netaji #Bose today. Part 1/3:
In 1941, Bose and his aide Abid Hasan crossed half the globe in two gruelling submarine journeys through hostile waters - and were nearly sunk, too.

Thanks to @NutshellIndia_ and @borges for producing this so wonderfully. Part 2/3:
This magnificent story was unknown until two Danish researchers, Aad Neeven and Martin Bamber, found it in German military records; they had to self-publish their volume of details and photographs, 'For Free India'.
Part 3/3:
(4) This morning, in fact, Abid Hasan was posthumously recognised with the #NetajiAward2021 by the Netaji Research Bureau in Kolkata. https://twitter.com/asadowaisi/status/1352910918196236291
