THE IMPORTANCE OF AYODHYA AND ITS BOUNDARIES. ALSO ORGIN OF SARYU RIVER.

When the twelve year long Yagya by Shri Ram was going on at Mahakshetra, all the pious Rishi's and Muni's had gathered there and each was seated on their aasan's with some, being peculiar in looks.

They all were chanting Ved Vedang with pure heart and intentions under the guidance of Rishi Bharadwaj. That time Bharadwaj Muni and other's asked Vyas Shishya Suutji to tell them the qualities and secrets of Ayodhya and its importantance

So Suutji first paid obeisance to guru Vyasji and then started describing the glory of Ayodhya. He said that this was the sacred dwelling of Prabhu Ram beside the pious river Saryu.

He further said that if Ganga originated from Vishnu ji's right toe so also Saryu originated from his left toe The 3 letter word Ayodhya(अयोध्या) represented the Tridev's. The first letter अ represented Brahma, Second letter य represented Vishnu and the third ध represented Shiva.

Ayodhya has the quality of destroying all the Paap including Brahmhatya. No one else can win a युद्ध or war with Ayodhya, therefore it is called अयोध्या. Ayodhya is situated on Vishnu's Sudarshan Chakra therefore its sacredness increases.

From Sahastra Dhara tirth in east upto one yojan and from a place called Sum on the western side upto one Yojan and from Saryu bank on the south side upto one yojan and Tamsa in the north upto one yojan is its boundaries. This is Ishwar‘s residence. This city is fish shaped.

The Go Prathar tirth in the north is its head and the east sides is it's tail with other directions constituting its middle portion,So this abode of Prabhu Ram is sacred & worth visiting.
