I was younger than the generation which suffered the most but old enough to lose count of the friends I lost.
It’s sometimes hard to shake the feeling I shouldn’t still be here. There were smarter, kinder men than me who died.
People with HIV should now enjoy a similar life expectancy to those without.
On effective treatment we can’t pass HIV on during sex ( #UequalsU).
I’m 53 and have been living with diagnosed HIV for almost 23 years.

Although some health challenges persist, with prompt diagnosis and access to HIV treatment we can live as long as those without the virus.
