I almost forgot to make a thread about Crowley being Jophiel bf the fall... I mean, I am a simple person, I see Raphael!Crowley, I simp, but lemme tell you some real good shit
First of all, Crowley's real name starts with a J. In the series we can see it as he writes a sigil in the papers Hastur brings him and everyone who read the book knows that you can only write infernal papers with yr real name
Also, have you noted how flustered and embarrassed he became when Aziraphale asked about the 'J' in his name?
Anyway, I was reading a list of angels that started with a J and I found Jophiel... Imagine my surprise when I noticed that he is not only holding a flaming sword but is also known to be the angel of revelations, inteligence and insight? Oh, and that's not all!
According to the lore he is one of the archangels of the creation and is know to be the angel tha drove Adam and Eve out of tge garden. May I say more? (The answer is yes.)
Back in the Garden, Crowley and Aziraphale don't bump into each other. Crowley deliberately slithers towards Aziraphale and then proceed to ask about his flaming sword and when he got his answer he looks so soft and amused
It's almost like he wanted to know better the angel that got the sword that was issued to him first and was delighted to know that he was not like the other angels. Anyway, this is why Jophiel!Crowley is my headcanon and you can't change my mind. Good Morning for y'all
