Saw ppl complaining that they can't act like adults and mute/block stuff because artists don't tag it. Here's a small guide of what to do in those cases (and yes, I'm being serious):
1. First of all, you need to mute any and all variants of the ship that makes you uncomfortable. Sometimes ships have multiple names. Sometimes you'll even find the names for the ship in their original language, if it's not English. Mute those too.
2. If an artist doesn't tag the ship but you don't want to block them, ask them politely to tag it. If they refuse, just block.
3. If there's still content filtering through all this, see if you need to unfollow someone or block some more artists.
4. If your problem is some specific trigger rather than a ship, the same steps can be followed. But in this case, I'd highly advice you to keep twitter's filter on, since most accounts that post dark content tend to mark it as for adults.
The filter can be annoying, but it'll let you mentally prepare yourself before seeing anything, since you have to choose to click on it to view it.
WHAT YOU ABSOLUTELY SHOULD NOT DO UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE: Harass the artist because they drew something that upsets you.
Unfortunately filters aren't perfect and you'll sometimes end up seeing upsetting content before you can block it. However, that doesn't mean you get the right to make someone else suffer because of it. Be respectful and use the tools at your disposal to curate your own space.
