So children who’s parents registered for Free School Meals between November and December 2020 will not receive Pupil Premium funding into school until September 2022 due to government’s cynical change of using census data from October rather than January. Levelling Up!
We had a number of parents sign up in that time due to second lockdown, and losing jobs. It seems the decision has been made to claw back the extra cost that providing meals over holidays that was bought about thanks to the amazing work of @MarcusRashford...
...these children will now not receive pupil premium funding to support with their learning for almost 18 months whilst they are eligible. This was quietly pushed out on the 17th of December. Not surprised, just angry.
