I see people swallowing - again - the framework of whatever criticism of Biden was set out as bait: a watch, a bike, etc. You know, like "her emails."

STOP FALLING FOR IT. TRUMP ATTEMPTED A COUP D'ETAT. THAT IS THE ONLY ISSUE THAT MATTERS. WAKE UP.
MAKING FUN OF THE TRAITOROUS MOBSTER'S SPELLING ON TWITTER DID NOT HELP.

It have liberals a momentary pause, a coping mechanism, but took focus off the ATTEMPT TO KILL OUR DEMOCRACY AND US ALONG WITH IT.

So STOP FALLING FOR THE EXACT SAME BAIT NOW. Here's what to do instead:
1. Do not respond to "stupid" or "laughable" criticism of non-traitors because it's "hypocritical" and "ridiculous." They're traitors. They don't care. They just want *you* to change the subject and avoid the great masses of people calling for their execution.
2. *Do* respond to attempts to denigrate the new, non-treasonous president with short, direct refocus on the historic crimes.

Example: "Fancy watch!" "I'm sorry, the last president schemed to have Congress murdered and left 400,000 people dead. Did you say something?"
"Is Biden just like a second Obama term, and will he be soft on Wall Street?" "I'm sorry, the last president was elected with the help of dictators, including one who cuts his political opponents into chunks with surgical equipment. Do you have a real topic to discuss?"
3. Recognize the root cause: a desperate case of normalcy bias. People understandably want to go back to some form of stasis, having pre-defined, old arguments, debating something comfortable. Not dealing with the terrifying attempt to overthrow democracy.

Deal with it anyway.
4. Commit to the hard path of accepting a new, more useful form of discomfort. The post-Trump/Biden era may *not* be less painful and creepy. In fact, as more truth emerges, it could feel *worse* for some. That's because propaganda is collapsing and revealing more horror.
That discomfort and pain is inevitable. We will all look for coping mechanisms and escape hatches in some fashion. But dealing with the truth of the vicious attack on democracy cannot be delayed any longer. Denial is simply too dangerous now.

The fight is on.
