Favorite: Google Dorking because I swear by utilizing Google to the best of your ability
Reflection:
Today I learned how to utilize Google to narrow your search down to specific file types and be able to only produce just those results. For example… if I only want to produce pdfs based on hacking I’d type the following string into Google and produce only pdfs.

• Access Darknet or Darkweb Using TOR: Anonymous Browsing

Favorite: Steganography because hiding messages in pictures duh..
Reflection:
I ended up finishing up the Dark and Deep web section and was left shocked that the instructor showed up how to hire hackers and hitmen on the dark web. I was only showed how to search for drugs in college. Will be going into more detail on what I'm learning in blogs.

• Installation of Metasploitable: Intentionally Vuln Linux Lab

Favorite: Setting up my lab even though it’s a pain in my arse every time
Reflection: It never fails I run into problems downloading Kali and getting it setup but today I finally got it running and got Metasploitable running in my virtual environment successfully. I officially have a home lab! Blog coming soon!

Favorite: Linux is that girl so learning kali commands got me excited. Really starting to feel like a hacker.
Reflection: Went over some of the many commands that I’ll probably be using throughout this hacking course in Kali. Many of these were just a refresher and some of these were new. Will be detailing more about what I learned in the upcoming blog post.

• Metasploit Extreme on Kali Linux: Metasploit Framework
• How to Access Metasploit and File System
• Metasploit File System

Favorite: Learning all of this was my fave. I’m gaining new skills.
Reflection: So far I’ve learned about the metasploit file system and how to access it. What it is and what not. Now I’m trying to set up the part of my hacking lab by getting a Windows 7 Iso so I can start hacking it. This should be fun
Topics Covered:

• Bug Bounty Hunting: Installing Burp Suite
• How to Find Subdomains of a Website
•Cross Site Scripting (XSS) attack
• SQL Login Page Bypass

Favorite: SQL Login Page Bypass because I’m notorious for cracking this challenge in CTFs lol
Reflection: Still working on this section but so far i’m gaining bug bounty skills. I now have burp suite apart of my pentesting environment and using firefox to be able to perform xss reflected attacks successfully. Currently using DVWA to practice these attacks. #womenintech
Topics Covered:

• Digital Forensics
• Malware Analysis
• Mobile Hacking and Pentesting

Favorite: All three of these are capturing my interest. I am interested in diving deep into all of these. I have experience with digital forensics already and the process of investigations
Reflection: Finally got to work in a sandbox environment to know know how to analyze malware without it infecting your native machine. Also found out how scary Google is and how you can see everything Google is tracking about you here http://myactivity.google.com

• Spear Phishing: Art of Social Engineering
• Introduction to a Keylogger: Art of Spying

Favorite: I enjoyed the lessons of both of these because I learned how to build a Facebook phishing page and I installed a key logger and tracked my Windows keystrokes
I have finally finished the course and gained a certification for doing so! Thank you to everyone that has been so supportive thus far. We still have a long way to go but I’m proud of myself for completing this and documenting my process thus far. New blog posts coming soon!

Day 9 | #100DaysofInfosec
Starting Security+ studies today! I also bought my exam voucher and scheduled my exam. I’m taking the Security+ course with Ethical Hacker’s Academy and going to go through the lectures for at least an hour. Using the exam objective to cross out as I go.
Reflection: Went through lessons 1-8 for the first day and refreshed on the following exam objectives:

• 1.3
• 3.1
• 5.2
• 5.3
• 5.7

Day 10 | #100DaysofInfosec
Risk management is A LOT! It took me two days to finish this section for that reason. But I got a fresh understanding of IT security governance, frameworks, security policies, business impact analysis, and more. The blog post gonna be kinda hefty.
Reflection: Finished lessons 8-16 and went over the following exam objectives:

• 5.1
• 5.3
• 5.8

Day 11: #100DaysofInfosec
I am now going over cryptography. One of my fave sections on CTFs to crack through first. Today I refreshed on cryptography basics like obsfucation, confusion, encryption, decryption, caesar cipher, kerckoff’s principle and much more.
Reflection: Completed lessons 1-6 and went over the following exam objectives:

• 6.1
• 62

Scored a 62.96% on this exam. Will have to tune into blog to see what I need to brush up on 🥴
