Eli Brooks said Purdue's transparency with the COVID-19 positive case and protocols was a big key to him being comfortable playing. Said as a captain he tried to make sure no one felt pressured to play.
Isaiah Livers said the team and players weren't going to make the trip if they felt like Purdue wasn't being straight-up with Michigan.
Isaiah Livers adds that he was initially opposed to playing, but said Purdue quarantining their positive case right away and doing multiple PCR tests — in addition to his preexisting trust in Purdue coach Matt Painter — made him feel comfortable playing.
