1) Ok, I'll share this little thing, just one of very many.

2) It may seem stupid, but whatever.

3) Today I got a notice from CD Baby that our "Rockin' the Wall" soundtrack CD was out of stock. They wanted more. I'm out, save for a few copies for personal use.
4) Well, it triggered memories of the wonderful times I had with my director Marc Leif and my business partner Steve Lopez almost exactly 10 years ago making this movie & its soundtrack.
5) I had just gotten a call that another of our investors died. That's three, and a fourth is in a nursing home with dementia.

6) I owe so much to these people and the film won't ever repay their financial investment, but I hope they all felt the movie was worth it.
7) Notice of the CD going out of stock struck me more than it should. I decided not to restock, as it's available on itunes. But it just kind of sent me to thinking about better times.
8) This was just before the uber collapse of Hollywood, and there still seemed a chance that conservatives, with a good product, could get into the film market.

9) Zero's presidency, while terrible, was quickly being exposed as such. By this time 10 years ago, people were . .
9) contd. . rapidly starting to see through Zero and his evil cabal. The Tea Party, thought not a majority, was booming. A conservative movement seemed to be ascendant (despite the fact that Minion would be the nominee in 2012).

10) All of that triggered a sad picture . . .
10) . . . contd for our country now, compared to then, when there was such hope.

11) Even many of the musicians who had played on that album either had died or had terrible health problems since.

12) Weird how something as stupid as an email notice that a CD is out of . . .
12) contd . . . print can bring on such a cascade of other unrelated thoughts.

13) Just think: only 10 years ago you could still watch many television shows or movies and enjoy them without constant political harassment; you could watch the NFL or the NBA and it was still a game
14) People weren't hunted down for their beliefs that a girl is a girl and a boy a boy. Most people still understood that waves of illegal immigrants were a bad thing. Large majorities wanted the US to get out of the Middle East, and considered most terrorism dead.
15) Just 10 years ago most people still thought that if you were a federal official and broke the law, you would suffer "some" punishment---maybe not equal to the crime, but that there would be a consequence.
16) Just 10 years ago, we still thought Faux was a voice for us.

We were looking at having Rush Limbaugh with us forever.

The most important thing associated with a baseball team was what free agent came in.

It was still generally assumed that if the GOP . . .
16) contd . . . got its act together, it could win any election any time.

There was still a RECENT memory of Republican senators and governors in California, New York, and Illinois.

17) Anyway, sorry for the trip down memory lane. All of this kinda just spilled out from . . .
17) contd . . . that one e-mail and a bunch of other little things.

18) End of pity party.
