1 like = 1 unpopular opinion (just for football), Im a bored man
Man Utd dodged a massive bullet not spending 100 mil on Sancho to fix their RW problems. He doesn't have the speed to own a flank by himself (would have to as AWB cant provide width) and his angles are reduced as a right footer
Appointment of Mourinho at Chelsea in 2013 set the club back as a whole despite the league title win. Mata/Oscar/Hazard was a great core while they had KDB and Lukaku in their ranks, they could have built a great dynasty
Man U in 4 yrs have only now started to use Pogba in his most favoured position. If he had been given the Bruno role or played as a left 8 for a long period, the outlook on him would be a lot different
Alexis Sanchez's best season was his 14/15 season, not his 16/17 season. He was much more agile, better dribbler and more dynamic. In 16/17 his ego got the better of him where he ruined certain team dynamics and could've prolonged his career had he accepted to play CF
Lukaku is now a top 5 CF in the world, his link up and hold up play has improved massively since he moved to Inter (shown by his performance against Juve last week). He's become a complete ST
The downfall of Arsenal as a top 4 side started with the absence of Santi Cazorla.

He was the needle player that dictated everything from deep, helped Ö flourish even more getting him between the lines all the time with constant ball progression. We never replaced his profile
Liverpool's attacking play has declined since Buvac left Klopp, before the front 3 used to interchange a lot in a good systematic way allowing them to create more and score different variety of goals. Doesn't mean they've become a worse side
There's been a big cover up in cheating in terms of PEDs and match fixing in football. In sports like cricket, athletics scandals are found quiet frequently yet in football where the financial/athletic levels are higher, we never hear anything. Wenger hinted at PED use time ago
Pep's extremely underrated and disrespected in this country. To achieve the results with that style of play is extremely difficult in the hardest league in the world, people underestimate how well drilled and specific his systems are. Collectively he created best PL team ever
Give Wenger Mourinho's budget at Chelsea and Man U here at Arsenal and he achieves more than what he achieved. However if Mourinho was under the restraints Wenger worked under, he wouldn't last two yrs
Bale overall was a success at Madrid but he could have achieved more. He only had 2 elite seasons at Real Madrid and when CR7 left he was given the keys to lead the team. Benzema stepped up, he didn't
If Arsenal had got a creative midfielder in the summer, we would be sitting in the top 4. The lack of between the lines players up until ESR got into the team disrupted the whole balance of the team completely which meant we were very one dimensional in our patterns in attack
Tuchel did a great job at PSG, to balance the egos whilst playing a balanced system in a flawed set of players is harder than is given notice. He helped PSG find a way to succeed in Europe by stacking the midfield with intensity, Poch will struggle to do a better job tactically
Hazard was the best player at the last World Cup. His influence on that Belgium team was the greater than any player in another country’s team. He totally ran almost every game where in Brazil/France decided to stack like 3/4 players on him and they still couldn’t stop him
RVP is an overrated figure in the Emirates era. He was an incredible player (top 2 quality wise) but the reality is he was constantly injured since he came to the club apart from that one 18 month period where he was the best ST in the world and then dipped. Özil did much more
Football quality hasn't decline overall over the last decade. The quality of player at the very top may have decreased a bit coz of coaching out certain things out in players but the average player is much better than 10-15 yrs ago. Entertainment wise is a different debate
Salah and Mane are the best wing combo in Prem history and they don’t benefit from the system. Elite numbers for 4 years, where in B2B seasons they achieved close to 100 pts. The system works coz of their ability in creating shooting/build up opportunities for themselves
Pires is the most underrated player in PL history, he was the first player of his kind in the league (goal scoring/inverted wide forward). POTY in 2002 and one of the leading figures of the Invincibles, he was a pioneer
Arteta will become one of the best managers in the world whether it’s Arsenal or somewhere else in the future. His defensive coaching is up there with Simeone in terms of the way he nullifies the opponent with ease and his build up structure/tactical sophistication is incredible
If Spurs had strengthened with a couple of top top level players in midfield and an extra forward in, then Poch would’ve won the title and would’ve pushed them over the line for the CL (where Liverpool werent very good). They could’ve built a great long term successful team
I mean the final Liverpool werent very good btw
Ole is a great manager, the closest thing to Fergie in the modern game. Great man manager and always has players on side but also tactically astute with how he keeps the side compact and the pressing structures and the speed of play. If he was backed Man U would win the league
Messi’s dominance from 09-15 over CR7 isn’t regarded enough due to recency bias. He outshone in him in CL semi and finals, and winning more leagues/other titles in that time. 90 goal yr too, recently CR7 team achievements have been superior but that 6 yr period holds more weight
England’s new generation of player will match France very soon. The depth of talent in almost every position from the u18s all the way through to senior level is ridiculous. Influence of foreign coaches means we are producing more intelligent and rounded technical players also
