Reading Darby’s letters lately had proven interesting. Growing up Baptist/ non denominational (unaffiliated), it’s difficult to see the point he’s making, as I’ve understood baptism to be “an outward sign of an inward reality,” but Darby calls this unscriptural and seems to argue
that baptism is a matter of conscience, not command, and that what is of key import is Spirit baptism, at the moment of faith in Jesus for everlasting life. Does this basically capture his view on baptism? Curious for others thoughts on this. 🕵🏻‍♂️ #JND #Darby #Baptism
