idk why im even thinking about this rn but here's a thread rating the best [and potentially only] chainsaw duels in film

we'll start it off with one of the greatest - the chainsaw duel from mandy, which is not only a phenomenal psychedelic revenge flick, but literally when one dude is gonna kill another with a chainsaw, the other guy pulls out an even bigger chainsaw. its so fucking stupid. 10/10

texas chainsaw massacre 1 is better than 2, but also 1 doesnt have a fucking chainsaw duel where one of the dudes starts dual wielding chainsaws. that said the dual wielding chainsaw part only happens at the end of the duel and we dont get to see that much of it. still cool. 7/10

i'll be real, idk what phantasm 2 is, i've never seen it, it could suck, but it does have a chainsaw duel and, after carefully assessing it on youtube, i can safely say that it was perfectly alright. def not innovating much there. gas mask is a nice touch tho. 6/10

rob zombie's 31 has a chainsaw fight, but the shaky ass camera makes it fucking impossible to see what's going on, and if you can barely see the chainsaws smacking against each other, it's not a good chainsaw duel. really doesnt do much for the chainsaw duel connoisseur. 5/10

tiger on beat is a hong kong action film which features sick fight scenes, plenty of laughs, and, most importantly, a chainsaw duel. it's by far the least gory of chainsaw fights featured here, but the acrobatic choreography in addition to the chainsaws really jus whips ass. 9/10

motel hell's chainsaw duel is unique in that both of its participants are pigs. 7/10
