My 10yo daughter wrote out her testimony of God's saving grace. She talks vividly of her awareness of sin at 3 years old. She talks about her "year of woe" (2nd grade) where she was in real agony over the chasm between a truly good God and herself.
Then she tells of how she awakened--how she realized she'd been asking the wrong question: "What can I do?" and began asking: "What did God do?" The blinders and woe fell away. Her sin was forgiven, the chasm gone, joy received. Jesus magnified.
As I reflect on the agony she felt over sin, I remember the assurances we gave her of the Good News of the Gospel, though we didn't know all her turmoil. As she tells it, God himself intervened. And how right she is, but only by the Gospel spoken and applied. We must tell them.
