The only issue: Unlike Ramsey, Davis travels EVERYWHERE with the WR1 (when it’s man coverage). Last Sunday, Michael Thomas could’ve lined up on the roof of the Superdome and Davis would’ve right up there with him.

This. Just like the last play, its press man on the goal line. LaFleur basically said you’re either gonna have someone not named Jalen Ramsey guarding Adams, or your gonna have Ramsey trailing him by 5 yards.
