Tempted to join in a negative conversation about data on twitter. But then I thought, not this evening Satan...
So here's a fantastic tool by @Etalab showing every plot of land and property in France with its unique code, its contents, and the price of any sales since 2014 (when the #opendata starts). https://app.dvf.etalab.gouv.fr/
As always a massive shout-out to @ScreenToGif -- just a fantastic open source piece of software for screen recording and editing and outputting as GIFs, Videos, etc... please donate too once you start loving it.
€240187 for the two room flat of 55 square metres at 37 RUE LAGANNE sold 2019-05-31 in Toulouse, Département 31, Commune Toulouse, Cadastre Section 828AE, Cadastre parcel 31555828AE0304.
Maybe I'll just buy a bit of land,... crikey this looks expensive. €383k for 513 square metres?!?! You'd better be able to grow Champagne on that! (yes, you can).
Looks decent. Chalky.
France is France is France (usually) so it also works on Réunion. Where the land for a new hospital wing seems to have been sold for €1.
Source code for the tool, raw data for the sale prices, raw data of the map of every piece of land in France, all online @datagouvfr and @Etalab under an open licence in a good format (but the comma separators might be semi colons, coz French). Enjoy!
Oooh excellent, thanks @thijsniks, the Netherlands has a similar but not a swish thing. In this case with estimated property values every year, for property tax reasons. https://www.wozwaardeloket.nl/index.jsp
