This very topic has been on my mind a lot lately. A student told me the other day I was the first teacher in 4 years in med school that made them feel like the belong #mustdobetter

I ask my self why is it so difficult for clinical teachers to provide a space to make our learners feel safe, supported and included ? Isn’t it the same thing I strive to do every day for my patients .

Even when I am busy , tired, stressed , frustrated because of the workload , because of lack of resources , because of failure in the system

Since I can’t change much of this I decided I’ll do my work , every aspect that I control : teaching , doctoring , learning to the best of my ability and take joy in the knowledge that maybe I’ll have shared a positive moment with those who interact with me
