I fucking don't care who is winning the day. I do care if you simply let someone take over your article to spout crap, which has no basis in reality, science or economics. 2/

But, we need to hear from both sides! Oh for Christ's sake. Give it up. You are being used as messengers--compliant ones--to reach political goals by many in the @GOP. As such you are misinforming your readers, not edifying them. 3/

If I go after specific reporters, their colleagues then whisper to me how mad they are at being challenged, it so unfair. Wanna know what's unfair? 400,000+ dead. 4/

Right now, what the elite DC political press corps is doing is something akin to asking a convicted arsonist about his thoughts on fire management, and forgetting to mention that he burned down half the city last year. 5/

Oh. Oh. We're not part of the process, we just report what people say. Well, guess what? I can read transcripts on my own. Without analysis, you are making a political decision--yes--that lies are as good as truth, pseudoscience is as good as facts. 6/

We are not winning the battle against #COVID19 right now. Giving unfiltered airtime to people who have no interest in stopping it is a moral choice as well. 7/

There is plenty of room for critique of current efforts, but if your sources are clearly operating in bad faith, and you say nothing, well, what are you doing? Your helping propagate falsehoods, lies, evasions. 8/

Please, please take a critical look, before you start to say both sides are at fault again as the @GOP gets ready to go after the pandemic relief bill as some socialist give-away, too big, too much, too soon. 9/

The next few weeks are crucial. @GOPChairwoman, @GOPLeader @LeaderMcConnell are gonna try to drag us all down, not on the merits of what is being proposed but as a political power-play, as they don't see a victory against COVID as a national one, but a partisan one. 10/

They'll say, well, look what you did to Trump? You mean the man with no plan, who misinformed and lied to the American public? Who fucked things up royally? There is no equivalence here. They do not want to argue on the merits. 11/

Let's argue the facts, the best way to end this pandemic. I'm all in with that. But let's also call out those who want to play games for political advantage, let's call out those who let them do it. end/
