LaMelo Ball is an elite guard rebounder. A thread:
He currently ranks 4th in TRB% of all guards behind only Westbrook, Luka, and Simmons. He is 40th overall in TRB% out rebounding bigs such as John Collins, Marc Gasol, Myles Turner, and Pascal Siakam.

He’s certainly not a better rebounder than the majority listed above but not all his rebounds are of the empty calorie variety as one might expect. 28.9% are contested which translate to around 2 per game.
Ball is also an excellent offensive rebounder where he ranks 2nd of all guards by TRB% and 32nd overall. Above the likes of Paul Millsap, James Wiseman, Bam Adebayo and even Anthony Davis.
Ball's success is due to both fearlessness going after boards but more importantly his elite feel of tracking a missed shot off the rim.
More than once he has anticipated an airball and drops himself into the perfect position to end up with the ball.
The most exciting element of his rebounding is how it ends up impacting the rest of the game. Once he grabs a board he begins checking mid air for a pass to move the ball up court. This was largely seen in his 90 ft pass to Hayward.
But is largely a constant any time he gets hold of the ball.
The only real question is with adding strength, which should improve vertical pop, how good on the glass can he get?
