sideSister's new song "Lovelock" started from a one line response to a gift. Not a gift to us, a gift Adolf Hitler made to New Zealander Jack Lovelock after Lovelock won the 1500 metres at the Berlin Olympics in 1936. That one line response was
"No, you won't get us that way."
"No, you won't get us that way."
"Lovelock"looks tangentially at the line between fantasy and delusion, explores the consequences of hate and its bedfellows, and balances those against the outcomes of love and its colleagues. But it's a song, not an essay, so expect imagery, not reasoning.
A brief sampler of "Lovelock" is attached.

The oak tree seedling Adolf Hitler gave to Jack Lovelock was planted in Timaru New Zealand, and grows there still.
