Background Thread: More information about this journey. I mined 1 Bitcoin a day on my gaming computer in the early days while I was sleeping and not gaming as a teenager with no job or school. I was buying Bitcoin for $2.33 each, still have the messages, and was trading
Torrent site invites for 1 BTC each. In 2011 I locked them away in a hidden truecrypt volume and lost the password days later. About a year after that I reformatted the hard drive on accident. While doing file carving to try and restore the deleted files and truecrypt volume
My hard drive board actually started smoking and part of the board on the drive caught on fire. I then gave up for a few years. I think replaced the board on the hard drive recently, having to solder the bios chip from the original board onto the new board and create an exact

in blowfish, to top it off the Bitcoin were in a hidden volume inside of a hidden volume both different passwords. Luckily i found the original wallet.dat file that was recovered from the recycle bin, deleted, then hard drive reformatted on top of that at a later date. I have
Been working on this for almost 10 years now while working shitty and eventually moving up to a career. This was what I spent my free time once every few months doing, and never gave up and as technology got better I kept utilizing it. I dropped out of middle once, high school
4 times, worked tons of terrible jobs. Built a great career and was finally able to get everything I worked hard for after 10 years and much more. Moral of the story, don’t ever give up.
It’s been me against the world for a very long time and the world finally gave back. I will not disclose personal information or how much BTC was in the wallet. Thanks for the support everyone!
