#Oilers 5 game thread. Every 5 games I'm going to post a mini thread on some thoughts and numbers about the team.
Record: 2-3-0 (5th in North Div.)
CF%: 45.1%
HighDangerCF%: 52.2%
xGF%: 51.0%
GF%: 34.5%
As for the eye test, the Oilers had an amazing game 2 against the Canucks but since then have kind of been underwhelming. McDavid's been himself and Drats has had some ups and downs so far. The 4th line looked great against the Leafs in their matchup with the Tavares line.
The third line has also been underwhelming, but I feel like we all had high expectations for them going into the season. One area I'd like to see improve is leaving and entering the zone with control of the puck. It's still early after a long time off, but got to pick it up soon.
