But let's focus on the 6th type of #SoMe meta-scholarship subtype that has been found:

The critical appraisal subtype.

(Intellectual COI, I have written a LOT in this subtype. But that's probably why @AdamRodmanMD and @ShreyaTrivediMD asked me to give a keynote on this topic)

My foray into this area started with some works that I did with the @METRIQstudy group and the @ALiEMteam.

Most recently, here is a rapid review that was lead by @tingdan that is a #SystematicReview of quality appraisal & assessment techniques for #FOAMed. This was in a special issue of #SeminarsinNephrology led by @kidney_boy himself.

But why did I do all this work? Two big reasons:
1) In the era of #FakeNews, we need to bring critical appraisal of ALL accessible resources (even secondary ones) to the bedside and teach trainees to be skeptical.
2)To bring rigor to this field, so it's valued in #Academia.
