Things to consider as you plan your Black History Month events:

1. Stop asking Black folks to work for free. Furthermore, consider the optics of asking *Black people* to work FOR FREE during FUCKING BLACK HISTORY MONTH so you can “celebrate” Black people. Celebrate by paying us.
1a. Find it in your budget to pay us more than you typically would otherwise.

2. If you don’t invite Black people to your school/office/org any other time of the year, don’t start now. Just admit you don’t really fuck wit Black folks like that and keep it pushin.
3. Make some *financial* contribution to Black people/Black orgs without telling anybody about it. You don’t need to make an announcement every time you do what you’re supposed to.
