This is super common! So one of the things I try to get people to change their thinking about is that cleaning isn't one and done; it's a constant cycle. And that just basic existence causes a mess to clean up. So part of the time of using your things also includes cleaning up. https://twitter.com/chantelelise_/status/1352661064802918401
A lot of the "I'm always cleaning" frustration is because we think it should be done and over with once we do it, and that's not the case. Keep living --> keep making messes. I advocate quick cleanups because they aren't as intrusive to your life as giant marathon cleans.
So I try to look at it as: If I spend five minutes now picking up or washing dishes or whatever, I'm saving myself having to set aside an hour or more sometime later (when I'll be super mad and resentful about it). It's a tough mindset to readjust!
But just like I look at my skincare routine or putting gas in the car, I try to look at cleaning as a momentary inconvenience that keeps things running smoothly and prevents bigger problems down the road.
