Sadly we expected some backlash on the news about the vaccines - so here is a simple explanation of why it is so important. People experiencing homelessness already have a very low life expectancy and contact with covid would more than likely kill them, old or young

It is also about protecting people who they come into contact with if / when they are on the streets. A vaccination means extra protection for themselves and others!

Lastly, the council have explained that these vaccines will not impinge on allocation for others, so none of these vaccines are being 'taken away' from those who need it. This is an important and valuable piece of public health work being done, which is something to be proud of.
