I didn’t know him. He was my favorite stranger. Since I was little. I was too young to have seen him play. But I devoured video & books because a person seeming so great and being so great that it stopped being about sports was beyond anything I knew, and beautiful to discover.💔
his image is all over my house and now I don’t want to get out of bed. not many people are like that for me. where their picture reminds me of them but also of myself being in awe so young. he makes me appreciate the ability to appreciate greatness. I owe him a lot it turns out.
