🚨 LEICESTER WITHOUT VARDY 🚨

You're probably thinking if Leicester can still play football now that Vardy needs to sort his hernia out.

Who should we get from the Leicester attacking assets?
Who performs best?
Who sucks?
etc.

🚑 Recovering from Hernia operations:

NHS advises that full recovery takes 6w and you can start doing ‘light’ activities in 2w.

Vardy’s elite fitness means he can probably be up and running in 3w (GW24). This is a guess because I’m not a doctor.

Sex might be painful too...
⚽️ Games without Vardy

Vardy has missed just one game this season v AVL (H) and they lost 1-0 playing a 4-1-4-1. Iheanacho came in for Vardy.

Tielemans had 2x shots on target, Iheanacho played two key passes. The rest of the teams stats were fairly mediocre.
It’s worth noting that LEI have lost their last two games without Vardy, scoring zero goals.

Prior to that at the end of 2019, he missed two games v NEW and WHU, and LEI won both. Perez, Maddison, Choudhury, Ihenacho and Gray all scored.
📈 Attackers in form

Most people will be choosing between Barnes (1st), Maddison (2nd) and Tielemans (3rd). Here’s how they stack up in their last five GWs:

xG: 1.96 v 0.81 v 0.66
xA: 0.52 v 0.46 v 0.6
SOT: 14 v 8 v 6
KP: 4 v 9 v 3
Pts: 32 v 31 v 26
Barnes looks like the standout choice, although Maddison’s stats are slightly skewed because of less minutes.

Tielemans looks like the 3rd best option, but he's on pens which boosts his appeal.

LEI have been awarded NINE penalties this season in 19 games (a league-high).
I'll be going Barnes myself, but there's a case to be made for any of them.

Barnes: best stats
Maddison: in the form of his life
Tielemans: easy penalty goals
