It's the first day of the 100-day deportation pause. On typical Fridays we see 5-7 deportation/expulsion flights and 20+ total ICE Air flights. as of now there have been NO ICE Air flights of any kind. The main question is.....
...if this is an operational grounding to prepare for the resumption of ICE Air flights for those expelled under T-42 (CDC order)? We are waiting for a statement from ICE on this question. As long as ....
T-42 is in place the only options under T-42 would be to continue to fly some people to home country or expell by land into MX. Most today are expelled by land, some on ICE Air. Personally, I think the land option for families may not be the best (opinions welcome)...
So, I hate T-42, and I hate ICE Air flights, but as long as we have the former, will the latter be a necessary evil? I will update this thread throughout the day as flights resume, or we hear news.

4:56pm. Ice just told me that they expect to issue a statement tonight. I have no idea, but I suspect they will address the question of whether flights will continue for those subject to T 42. That is the ? I asked.
