5 Questions to ask before you make a purchase:

👉#4 was a game-changer for me

#1
Is it in my budget?

A Spending Plan means you can buy whatever you want, that is, planned spending.

Having a budget means you can schedule deposits to savings/investments, know your food costs, track your income & expenses, otherwise it's just emotional buying.

Can I borrow it or get it used?

Old-school habits learned from my dad still apply today.

There are hundreds of used items online at a fraction of the cost.

And what about Jim across the street, can you borrow it from him?
#3
Is this the best time to buy it?

Like anything, timing is everything.

There are seasons for all purchases: cars, travel items, even groceries.

Do some research before buy to make sure your timing is right. It could save you a ton of moneyđź’µ

Do I Need or Want it?

This is the secret to money management.

We WANT lots of things, everything is a click away.

But do you NEED it? Really?

Take a moment & ask yourself. Often, it's a Want disguised as a Need.

That's ok, just know the difference.

Do I have something similar?

Guilty of this, buying another pair of jeans when I already have 3 in my closet🤦‍♀️

Take a quick look around before buying. Is there something else that would do just fine?

Dig through those closets, you might be surprised at what you'll find.
