Today, I have highlighted figures on child poverty rising by 20,000 in Scotland in just 4 years.
This is an utter failure of Tory and SNP austerity, and their constant local cuts that hollow out our public services.

In Glasgow, that’s a rise of over 5,650 children in poverty.
In Edinburgh, the number of children in poverty has risen by 1,150 in four years.
In Aberdeen, 1,000 children more over four years are now living with this hardship.

This doesn’t stop at our cities, it is endemic across our country.
In North Ayrshire alone, we see child poverty increase to 28% of all families in the last four years.

At the Scottish Borders it's risen to nearly 24% of all families.
And in Fife, 1,603 more children are living in poverty than four years ago.

We must stop this national scandal.
We need action from both SNP and the Tories.
